Therapeutic Massage

30 minutes: $45
60 minutes: $70
90 minutes: $100

The therapeutic massage is when I use the various modalities I have learned over the years and are listed below, to tailor your massage session to your specific needs.

Therapeutic:  adjective     relating to the healing of disease.     Synonyms:. healing, curative, curing, remedial, medicinal, restorative, health-giving, tonic, sanative, reparative, corrective, ameliorative, beneficial, good, salubrious, salutary.

Acupressure

Acupressure is based on one the most ancient principles of healing - that simply touching a specific point on the body will release stress and improve health in the body. In an acupressure session, I apply firm pressure directly to these "points" on your body, which relieves your muscle tension and improves your circulation. This simple and powerful technique has been shown to be very effective in treating headaches, backaches, and even insomnia.

Cupping Therapy

By creating suction and negative pressure, cupping therapy is used to soften tight muscles and tone attachments, loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue, bring hydration and blood flow to body tissues, and drain excess fluids and cellular waste by opening lymphatic pathways. Cupping is versatile and can be modified to accomplish a range of techniques from lymphatic drainage to deep tissue release.

For more details about this therapy go to CUPPING.

Cupping Fascial

30 minutes: $50

Because of the special cups I use for this there are no marks left on the face or neck.   Protocols for the face use the small cups to vacuum and lift the facial tissue, mimicking the pumping movements of lymphatic drainage. The benefits include increased local circulation of the skin, increased nutrients brought to the epidermis, and enhanced absorption of facial topicals. The drainage of stagnant fluids from reservoir areas will reduce edema and chronic puffiness.  Lines and wrinkles will plump whereas scar tissue will soften from the negative pressure, making it an exceptionally powerful and surprisingly relaxing enhancement to advanced facial treatments.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of cellular waste that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Lomi Lomi

Lomi Lomi is the Hawaiian word for "massage", and it is part of a larger native Hawaiian tradition of healing and natural body care. According to Hawaiian tradition, all living beings are seeking a state of balance and love in the world. During a Lomi Lomi session, therefore, I focus on not only relaxing your body through gentle touch, but also reviving your spirit and filling your body with the energy of love.

Plantar Fasciitis Treatment

30 minutes: $35

Using silicone cups, all of the muscles of the calf and foot are worked and released through a series of stretches and range of motion. Then using the cups to glide over the calf, loosening the muscles and tendons and improving blood and lymph flow.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

TMJ Treatment

15 minutes: $15
Spa Cupping Facial

Cupping should not be done over an infected tooth as the infection can spread.

The muscles of the face benefit greatly from the reduction of tension and tightness, releasing and loosening rigid muscles associated with TMJ disorders.  Used in tandem with joint manipulation, the pressure and pain associated with TMJD's are relieved as inflammation is decreased and nerves relax.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These "knots" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

Sinus Treatment

15 minutes: $15

It is important to come in before a sinus infection starts.

Using gentle pressure from the clavicle and across to the arms we start the draining process to the lymphatic system.  Slowly working up the neck then to the sinus cavities, suction is used to open up and loosen the musculature and fascia around the sinus cavities allowing mucus to drain.  Once the process starts it continues to drain for days.

Cupping should not be done over an infected tooth or a sinus infection because it can spread.
